Flexible Flat Feet in Children
Many children are born with flexible flat feet. It is a very common condition, which most often improves with normal growth and development. Special shoes, arch supports and custom orthiotic devices are rarely if ever required. If you are concerned, observe your child's foot when they rise up on their toes, most often you will see a nice arch develop. Flexible flat feet, even if they do persist, are usually painless and do not interfere with sports, running or ambulation.
