Hank D Bratt M.D.

Dr Bratt is as close to a native Tucsonan as you can get having moved here with his family in 1966. He received his undergraduate and medical degree at the University of Arizona. He completed his residency at the University of Utah. It was during residency that Dr Bratt became interested in pediatric orthopedic surgery under the tutelage of Dr Sherman S. Coleman, one of the founding fathers of pediatric orthopedic surgery. Following residency Dr Bratt was fortunate to receive a one year, clinical fellowship position at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr Bratt returned to Tucson following his six year hiatus and has been in private practice since that time. He left the group setting in June 1998 to form Children's Orthopedic Specialists, P.C.

The vision was simple, develop a very personalized practice specializing in and dedicated to delivering the highest level of pediatric orthopedic care possible.

Dr Bratt is board certified in orthopedic surgery and a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA). POSNA is a group of approximately 500 orthopedic surgeons whose practice is almost exclusively dedicated to the care of pediatric orthopedic patients. Other memberships include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) and the American Academy of Pediatrics. (see links)

Dr Bratt has a son, Wesley and a daughter, Tara.
